March was a powerful reminder of what matters most to us at Mattenga’s: community, connection, and showing up for the people who make San Antonio such a special place. From sponsored lunches and partnerships to major events and milestones, we’re grateful for every opportunity to serve beyond the slice.

Supporting Local Teams & Businesses

We had the privilege of providing a sponsored pizza lunch for the incredible team at Wolf Weddings & Events. Supporting local businesses like theirs is something we truly value, and we’re thankful for the role they play in helping people celebrate life’s biggest moments.

We also shared a little pizza appreciation with the team at Elite Event Planning. These are the people working behind the scenes to create unforgettable experiences, and we’re always grateful for the chance to give back.

Community Partnerships That Matter

Community partnerships remain at the heart of what we do. This month, we were honored to sponsor a pizza lunch for Chrysalis Ministries, whose work continues to impact lives in meaningful ways.

Celebrating Women’s Month

March gave us the opportunity to celebrate and support some truly inspiring groups. We were thrilled to provide a sponsored lunch for She Is Society, recognizing the incredible work they do in our community.

We also had the honor of serving the hardworking members of Working Moms of San Antonio. These women balance it all, and we were proud to celebrate them during Women’s Month.

Supporting Those Who Serve

To the brave firefighters who show up for our communities every single day, we say thank you. This month, we provided sponsored pizza lunches to multiple fire departments as a small way to show our appreciation for their courage and service.

Pizza & Sports: A Perfect Match

We’re proud to be the Official Pizza Sponsor of the Alamo City All-Stars ABA Basketball Team this season. Sharing pizza with the team is our way of cheering on the hustle, heart, and dedication they bring to the court.

Our partnership with the San Antonio Gunslingers also continues in 2026, and we’re excited to be part of another thrilling season.

We’re also grateful for our continued relationship with UTSA Athletics. Their recognition of our support this season means a great deal, and we’re especially excited to see UTSA Women’s Basketball make history with their NCAA Tournament run.

Events & Industry

Team Mattenga’s had the opportunity to attend the International Pizza Expo 2026 in Las Vegas—an exciting experience where we connected with others in the industry and continued learning how to serve you better.

A Record-Breaking Pi Day

March 14 (Pi Day) was our biggest day of the year. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Your support kept our stores busy all day long, and your kind words and encouragement meant everything to our team.

We also want to acknowledge that some guests experienced longer wait times. If we fell short of the experience you expect, we sincerely apologize. We’re always working to improve and serve you better.

To our team members: thank you for your preparation, your hustle, and your heart. Pi Day is no small feat, and you showed up in a big way.

Special Promotions

We celebrated National Ranch Dressing Day on March 10 with a fun in-store promotion—offering customers a free extra side of ranch with their pizza orders. It was a simple way to add a little extra flavor to the day.

We are incredibly honored to be named Best Pizza in San Antonio for the fourth year in a row. This recognition belongs to our amazing team and our loyal customers who continue to support us and push us to be better every day.
