Community First. Always.
February was a month filled with gratitude, service, and strong community partnerships. From sponsoring lunches for local martial arts schools to supporting public schools, small businesses, and youth athletics, Mattenga’s continued to invest in the people who make San Antonio strong.
Here’s a look at how we showed up in February.
Supporting Martial Arts Communities Across San Antonio
Discipline. Focus. Strength. Community. These are values we deeply respect—and this month, we were honored to support several incredible martial arts academies across the city.
We sponsored lunch for the students and teams at:
Gracie Barra San Antonio
Karate International San Antonio
CDK Tae Kwon Do Culebra
Gracie Barra Alamo Ranch Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Defense
Hill Country Karate (HCK)
Kung Jung Mu Sul of Texas
Pinnacle Martial Arts
Legacy Martial Arts Texas
From future black belts to seasoned instructors, we were proud to help fuel training sessions with hot pizzas and Protein Pizzas designed to keep champions energized on and off the mat. There’s something special about seeing hard work followed by well-earned smiles over a shared meal.
Showing Up for Our Schools
Education is the backbone of our community, and February gave us many opportunities to give back to local campuses.
We donated pizzas to:
John Paul Stevens High School for Counselor Appreciation Week, as a small thank you to the counselors whose impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
Dr. Joe J. Bernal Middle School PTA for their 7th Grade Dance, helping bring big smiles and full plates to a night students won’t forget.
Judge Andy Mireles Elementary School PTA for their Valentine’s activity. We were happy to donate pizza boxes and even happier to see the creativity they sparked.
Davenport High School Girls Varsity Basketball for Senior Night, celebrating the dedication and leadership of their graduating athletes.
Peggy Carnahan Elementary School for their Special Olympics event, helping fuel a day filled with courage, joy, and unforgettable moments.
ABA Basketball Team for their final game for this season.
Supporting local schools means supporting families, educators, and future leaders. We are grateful for every opportunity to be part of these milestones.
Backing Local Businesses and Community Events
February wasn’t just about schools and sports—it was about community at every level.
We treated the team at Sammelplatz Office Suites to a sponsored lunch as a way of recognizing the role local businesses play in keeping San Antonio thriving.
We also served 300 people at a church baseball team’s end-of-season celebration, including 100 pizza slices prepared and delivered by our hardworking team. It was an honor to help close out their season with a meal shared among teammates, families, and friends.
Crafted with Care
Valentine’s Day brought out the creativity in our kitchens, with beautiful heart-shaped pizzas prepared by our dedicated crew. These small touches reflect something bigger: the pride and care our team brings to every order, every event, and every partnership.
Behind every donation, every sponsored lunch, and every community celebration is a team working hard to serve with excellence.
Aligned to Deliver
Every remarkable guest experience starts with a high-performing team. This February, our leadership team aligned priorities, executed key strategies, and strengthened operations to create measurable impact.
#MattengasCare in Action
February 2026 reminded us that impact isn’t just about numbers—it’s about relationships. It’s about standing behind local champions, supporting educators, celebrating students, and strengthening the ties that connect us all.
We’re grateful to every organization, school, team, and business that welcomed us in this month. Thank you for allowing Mattenga’s to be part of your story.
Community strong. Always.
