Local Pizza Made to Bring the Community Together
At Mattenga’s Pizzeria, community isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we actively invest in. This April, we had the privilege of supporting local organizations, schools, and first responders through donations, shared meals, and meaningful moments. Here’s a look at how we showed up for our community this month.
Supporting Those Who Serve
We were proud to stand behind the men and women preparing to protect our neighborhoods by sponsoring a dinner for the Schertz Police Department. Being part of their training experience was an honor, and it reflects our deep appreciation for those who keep our community safe.
We also partnered with the Garden Ridge Police Department during their Springtime “Pizza with the Police” event. Moments like these strengthen the bond between officers and the community, and we’re grateful to contribute in a small but meaningful way.
Bringing People Together Through Community Events
April was full of opportunities to connect, including the Egg Hunt Block Party hosted by Mosaic Church SA. With a pizza donation, we joined in creating a welcoming and joyful atmosphere where families could gather and celebrate together.
We also had the chance to serve at Our Lady of Atonement Church, Love Where You Live and Junior Small Business Symposium, sharing smiles and meals that brought people closer.
Investing in Local Schools
Supporting students and educators remains at the heart of what we do. This month, we provided pizza donations to several schools, including Dr. Winn Murnin Elementary School and Pease Middle School, helping make school days and events a little more special.
We also supported Oak Hills Terrace Elementary School with pizza box donations, ensuring they had what they needed for their activities.
At San Antonio Christian School, we were grateful for the opportunity to bring smiles to students through a shared meal. Similarly, we supported Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, adding a bit of joy to their school events.
We also partnered with Crown of Life Lutheran School and Cable Elementary School, reinforcing our commitment to education and community connection.
Celebrating Youth and Team Spirit
We were excited to support the CISD Davenport High School Cheerleaders during their retreat, providing a well-earned pizza break.
At Mattenga’s, we believe that supporting local teams means more than just food—it’s about encouraging passion, teamwork, and shared experiences.
Caring for Every Generation
Giving back extends across all ages. This April, we had the pleasure of providing pizza to the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation. It was a simple gesture, but one that brought warmth and connection to an important part of our community.
One Team, One Goal
Great guest experiences are built by strong teamwork. This April, our leaders aligned priorities, improved strategies, and reinforced operations to achieve better results.
The Road Ahead
Every donation, every event, and every shared meal is a reminder of why we do what we do. Mattenga’s Pizzeria is rooted in community, connection, and bringing people together over great pizza.
As we move forward, we remain committed to making a positive impact—one slice at a time.
