Serving Gratitude Across San Antonio and Beyond
At Mattenga’s, community is at the heart of everything we do. January 2026 was a meaningful start to the year as we continued our commitment to giving back through meals, sponsorships, and partnerships with organizations that strengthen our city. Through our Slice of Gratitude initiative, we were honored to serve those who serve others—one pizza at a time.
Supporting Local Organizations and Schools
This month, Mattenga’s proudly donated pizza boxes to SA Texas Foodies and provided vouchers to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School, helping support their ongoing efforts in the community. We also shared pizzas with Fox Run Elementary School during their STEAM Night, offering a small thank-you to the educators and families investing in the future of San Antonio.
Our support extended to San Antonio Christian School and Glenoaks Elementary School, where we continued a valued tradition of providing a sponsored lunch for staff. Staying connected with our local schools remains an important part of who we are.
We’ve also hosted Spirit Nights across our various store locations in support of local schools and organizations, including Hoffmann Elementary PTA, Samuel Clemens All Sports Booster Club, Norma J. Paschal Elementary, and Lamar Elementary PTA. These events have been a great way for us to give back to our school communities while bringing families together in our restaurants.
Fueling the Fitness Community
January was filled with opportunities to support the local fitness community—individuals and teams who dedicate themselves to health, discipline, and leadership. We provided sponsored lunches featuring our Protein Pizzas to:
CrossFit Cibolo
TruFit Athletic Clubs
Newson Fitness
Alamo Ranch Boxing Club
9Round Fitness
Gold’s Gym New Braunfels
Burn Boot Camp
Each visit was our way of recognizing the hard work these fitness leaders put in every day and supporting them with fuel made to match their effort.
Partnering With Local Businesses
We also had the privilege of sharing meals with local businesses that keep our communities moving. From a sponsored lunch at Baker’s Heavy Equipment Repair to catering the Schertz Chamber Luncheon, these moments allowed us to connect with teams whose impact often happens behind the scenes but is deeply felt.
Giving Back to Community Organizations
Our team donated pizzas to Jubilee San Antonio, reinforcing our belief that sharing food is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to give back. We are proud to be part of a city full of people and organizations that look out for one another.
Expanding Our Reach in New Braunfels
January also marked an exciting milestone with the launch of the Mattenga’s Pizzeria Trailer New Braunfels. As part of our opening, we shared free pizzas with several local businesses, including:
Chain Link Bicycle Shop
Matt Schumann / Parkhaus
Celebrations Bridal & Prom
Stewart Title Company
We are grateful for the warm welcome and look forward to continuing to serve and support the New Braunfels community.
We're parked at 675 S Business IH 35, on Elliot Knox Blvd toward H-E-B, next to Munchies Locos.

Supporting Local Athletes
Mattenga’s is proud to serve as the Official Pizza Sponsor of the Alamo City All-Stars ABA Basketball Team this season. Sharing pizza with the team is a small way to support the dedication, teamwork, and heart they bring to the court. We are honored to be part of the All-Stars family and to cheer them on throughout the season.
Strong Teams. Better Experiences.
Behind every great guest experience is a focused, aligned team. Throughout January 2026, our leadership team met regularly to drive strategy, improve operations, and plan for the future.
Looking Ahead
January 2026 reminded us that gratitude is best expressed through action. Whether supporting schools, fitness centers, local businesses, or nonprofit organizations, Mattenga’s remains committed to showing up for our community in meaningful ways.
Thank you to everyone who welcomed us into your spaces and allowed us to be part of your day. We look forward to continuing to serve San Antonio, Schertz, New Braunfels, and the surrounding communities throughout the year.
